The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Malaysia Chapter was successfully organized on 19th January 2013 along with the IEEE Malaysia Section AGM at the Pullman Hotel Putrajaya.

We had the opportunity to present our NAO to Tun Mahathir Mohamad (former Prime Minister of Malaysia) and his wife Tun Siti Hasmah at DreamEdge office. Thanks to DreamEdge CEO Mr. Khairil Adri for giving us the opportunity. We are honored with the positive respond from Tun Mahadhir and for putting his signature on both of our NAO.
Three of my PhD students were graduated from the Complex System Computing Lab. Nagoya Univ. Japan. As Research Fellow to the lab and Co-Supervisor to the student’s PhD projects, I would like to wish Congratulation to Dr. Sukarnur Che Abdullah, Dr. Naoto Hoshikawa and Dr. Yuri Zhou. I also like to wish congratulation to two undergraduate students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering UiTM, Muhammad Nor Azam and Harmilia Arjan, for accomplishing 4 months training at the Lab under supervision of Prof. Masahiro Ohka (Director Complex System Computing Lab.). This training is under student exchange program of MoA between FKM UiTM and Graduate School of Information Science Nagoya University.

Presentation of latest research progress in HuRoBs UiTM to Lab members
The 2nd International Symposium on Robotics and Intelligent Sensors 2012 (IRIS2012) was successfully organized in Hilton Hotel, Kuching, Sarawak Malaysia from 3th to 6th September 2012. Total number of participants from both IRIS2012 and PRIDE2012 are nearly 400 participants. The conference was officiated by Dato Sri Michael Manyin Jawong, the current Sarawak Infrastructure Development and Communication Minister. All accepted papers (254 papers) was published in the Journal Procedia Engineering Vol. 41 by Elsevier and available at ScienceDirect database at the following link: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/18777058/41/supp/C (Indexing in Scopus is currently in progress).

International Robot PRIDE Competition 2012 (PRIDE2012) was successfully organized along with the 2012 International Symposium on Robotics and Intelligent Sensors (IRIS2012) at Hilton Hotel Kuching Sarawak from 4th to 6th September 2012. 40 shortlisted teams from School and University/Industry categories were competed during the 3 days competition. Evaluation by local and international judges was conducted at the booth for all teams, and oral presentation for the finalist teams. Thank you to all participated teams and congratulation to the winners.
PRIDE2012 is organized by the Center for Humanoid Robots and Bio-Sensing (HuRoBs) UiTM in collaboration with Aldebaran Robotics (France) and Malaysia Robotics and Automation Interest Group (MyRAig)
